On Friday we drove back from Milwaukee to Fond du Lac. We stopped my cousin’s house to catch up with family before heading to Elkhart lake. Justin brought his drone out and caught some pretty awesome shots! We went for a small hike and got to see a 400 year old tree that was struck by lightning. We snuck in for a kiss and explored the barn!
Then we headed to one of my favorite places in the area, Elkhart Lake. The Ostoff is a beautiful resort that I couldn’t wait to show to Justin. We got lunch at Otto’s at the resort. We had beers and old fashions that were delicious, along with loaded potato chips and sandwiches! Then we went upstairs to explore another bar, The Elk Bar, and look out over the grounds. I showed him the other locations, including the Tiki Bar, and we enjoyed the lake views. We wished it were a little warmer out and the sun could have shown it’s face more, but we had a great time! So much fun that we ran out of time to go kayaking.
After Elkhart we headed back to Fond du Lac to enjoy cocktails and catch up with family friends at my dad’s baseball hall of fame induction. One thing I wish we would have done more of on this trip was take pictures of family and friends! After cocktails we stopped at Sunset Bar and Grill for dinner. Salmon and baked haddock and drinks!
After dinner we went to see a local band, Star Six Nine, at picnic up in St. Cloud. Met up with some friends and enjoyed Spotted Cows and music! Then we finished up the night at The Press Box and played our favorite, Foosball. Justin can let you know who won! Overall we had an amazing Friday night back home in Wisconsin!
